Gabriel mediates on the prestigious panel for the Bar Association of San Francisco. He is also a certified mediator with the Office of Citizen’s Complaints, resolving disputes between citizens and police officers, and on the panel for Community Boards Neighborhood dispute resolution. He is a certified arbitrator for the S.F. Housing Services, working on resolution involving residents in San Francisco’s homeless shelters. He has been selected as a returning judge for Negotiation Competitions for law students throughout the Bay Area.
Sometimes people find themselves in situations where litigation would not be productive. Mediation is a great way to solve disputes where the parties want to have a continuing relationship.
When done well, mediation can lay the groundwork for not just the current problem, but for problems that may arise in the future. Mr. Bellman is a licensed Mediator in accordance with the California Dispute Resolution Programs Act, and is available for hire to Mediate where both parties agree to the process. Under the California Evidence Code Sections 1115-11128, all statements and written documents made during the course of a Mediation are confidential and cannot be used later in a legal proceedings without both parties' written consent.
